This February, Britain’s Chemmy Alcott will be making a bid to be the countries most successful ever Alpine skier. The 27 year old has a great chance of becoming the first Brit to win a Winter Olympic medal in the sport.

chemmyChemmy suffered a bad ankle injury last season that severely disrupted her progress, but the current World Cup has been far more successful and she will be taking some great form into the games.

But apart from raw speed on the slopes, what are the things that make a difference between the champions and the also rans?
