Details: The Markel Castle Triathlon Series consists of five weekend races and three evening sprint races throughout the summer, providing an open platform for triathletes of all abilities to compete nationally.
It is simple to get involved and you can enter as many of the races as you choose or even take on the whole series!
The series enables adults to compete individually or as a relay of two or three people and aims to include families, so children and parents can race on the same day, making it a great family day out.
Back by popular demand, the Markel Castle Triathlon will continue their midweek Evening Triathlon Series in 2012 to compliment their flagship event at Hever on the weekend of 29 and 30 September 2012.
All adult triathletes start with an open water swim in the spectacular 38 acre Hever Castle Lake, transitioning into the cycle which will take place around the 20km circuit through the High Weald of Kent an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty used on the Hever Castle Triathlon main event.
The run will then circumnavigates the estate and award winning castle grounds before making the dash to the finish beside the lake.
Junior and Children’s races take place within the Castle grounds and swim in the same lake as the adults. The cycle course is technical and the run takes in the castle gardens and monuments, they really are designed for the ‘real’ experience with as much fun as the adult course.
The Anne of Cleves (Individual Sprint)- 750m/20km/5km
The Anne Boleyn (Individual Super Sprint) – 400m/20km/4km
