The Hebden Challenge

A popular and hilly event, with routes of 22 and 15 miles, catering for both walkers and runners.
Details: The demanding long route has over 4000 feet of climbing, the shorter route is a less demanding circuit and provides a leisurely return along the canal to Mytholmroyd.
There will be complementary tea, coffee and toast at the start. Hot and cold drinks and light refreshments will be provided at 10 miles. Drinks, sweets, energy gels and cakes will be provided at other checkpoints. A hot meal will be provided at the finish.
All entrants are advised to wear appropriate clothing for winter conditions and to carry the recommended map, compass, whistle, survival bag, mug and mobile phone if they have one. Due to the terrain some navigational ability is required.
Competitors recieve a certificate on completion, there is parking on-site, the race will start at 8am with registration open between 6.30 and 7.45am. Entry costs £8 for LDWA (Long Distance Walkers Association) members and £9 for non-LDWA members.
