Details: Stilettos on Wheels have also organised another Ladies only mountain bike race, this time happening in the North of England at Birchall Golf and Leisure on Saturday 19th May 2012.
Birchall is a popular venue for the Midlands XC series and an unusual race venue in that it is a mix of grassland, great woodland singletrack and golf course! Don’t worry, there’s no danger of riders being taken out by stray golf balls as some holes are closed on race day.
The race will mirror the format of the Brighton round. Riders can pick their challenge from a 2 hour or 4 hour race either as a solo rider or as a pair in a relay format.
The course is generously being donated for this first SOW event by The Birchall Estate who are also providing free camping on Friday and Saturday nights and hosting a party on Saturday night with a bar and live music.
