Details: The Criterion Theatre celebrates sporting and cultural talent with Playing The Games from the emerging to the world-famous. Part of the London 2012 Festival.

Leading performers interview a world-renowned sporting legend or Olympian on the stage of the Criterion Theatre.
- Mon 30 July, 1pm – Television presenter and columnist Rick Edwards will interview Kriss Akabusi the 4 x 400 metre relay Silver medallist.
- Mon 6 August, 1pm – Actor and Olympic Ambassador Stephen Fry will interview Edwin Moses, the 400 metre hurdle Gold medallist, unbeaten for nine years.
- Tues 7 August, 1pm – Film and theatre director Stephen Daldry will interview Haile Gebrselassie, the two time 10,000 metre Gold medallist.
- Fri 10 August, 1pm – British film star and acclaimed stage actor Clive Owen talks to the first ever Rwandan mountain biker to qualify for the Olympic Games, Adrien Niyonshuti
As part of the Playing the Games programme of events, there are also the world premieres of two new plays, stand up comedy from Alan Davies, Stephen K Amos and Mark Watson, Stories Before Bedtime with Brian Blessed, Eddie Izzard and Stephen Fry and Paper Cinema.
