Details: After another great gallop of a run across the rolling hills of Hambleden in 2012, once again you’re asked to dig out your equestrian best for a host of horsey hijinks in 2013.
Don your finest racing silks or hunting tweeds, and groom those headtorches, darkness falls pretty sharpish in March, and even if the going’s good, you’ll need every racing advantage to overcome the odds-on favourite features of this incredible course, with The Watersplash, The Bombhole, and Derby Bank all making a welcome return.
Fancy dress is part of the fun, with riding regalia top of the what-to-wear list. When the gun goes off, a stampede of jockey caps and horsey headscarves will gallop across the show field and over the first of many genuine horsejumps, for the benefit of their supporters.
Starters will be divided into waves for first time in 2013: whether you sign up to a little bit of daylight (Wave 1) or an awful lot of darkness (Wave 3), you’re all welcome to attend the Notorious after-party, with legendary live music and local hospitality, and a chance to sleep soundly in our onsite camping area.
