Details: Durty Events have announced the revival of one of the most challenging adventure races in the UK.

The Hebridean Challenge will be organised by the award winning multi-sports event company from Scotland.

Formally known as ‘The Heb’, the challenge is a multi-discipline, multi-day adventure through a remote landscape.

The challenge will include mountain biking, off-road running, open water swimming and kayaking throughout.

Competitors can enter individually or in teams of three.

To succeed, competitors will need to consider teamwork, strategy, endurance, logistics, navigation and route choice.

All competitiors will need to be ready for anything as there will be surprises and additional challenges on the way.

Each night competitors will stop within one of the islands communities where they will be provided with a meal, water and a place to pitch a tent to help them on their way.

Paul McGreal from Durty Events says, “The new Heb will be easy to take part in, but still a tough challenge.” He also says he wants it to be “packed full of all the adventure, excitement and fun that the event is renowned for.”

“We want everyone to have a great time.”

Gary Tompsett will help McGreal accomplish his aim through his previous involvement in major adventure races. He is also known for his flamboyant and exciting planning.

After the race, competitors will be invited to a ‘Heb’ Party in Castlebay on the Isle of Barra where all involved in the race will have a chance to celebrate together.

Entry Fees:

Team of Three (Early Bird Discount): £890

Individuals (Early Bird Discount): £330
