Details: ESPN’s first live match for season two of The FA WSL will see Chelsea Ladies taking on Doncaster Rovers Belles on Easter Monday.
The match will take place at Staines FC and ESPN will start broadcasting at 2.30pm. The kick off time for the first live match of the season is 3.00pm.
Chelsea Manager Matt Beard commented on the news: “Its great news that our opening match of the season will be live on ESPN, we were lucky enough to have our opening game against Arsenal live last year and we had a fantastic crowd attend the match.
“Last year’s TV coverage of the WSL did the world of good for the women’s game, proving there was a real audience for the kind of football we’re playing. We hope we put on a good show for everyone watching at home and most importantly of course, that we get the three points.”
