Details: England are to take on Holland on June 17 as they meet at the Salford City Stadium, Manchester, for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2013 Championship Group 6 Qualifier, kick off 5.15pm.
The Dutch currently lead Group 6, five points clear of England, although the Three Lions do have a game in hand. If Holland collect all three points they will seal automatic qualification to next summer’s Euro Finals, meaning this encounter takes on added importance for Powell’s charges.
The two sides drew 0-0 in Zwolle in October and striker Ellen White believes England can take heart from that showing.
“We have learnt from that game,” she said, “built on our performance out there and hopefully we can put in a good performance on Sunday and get the three points.
“There probably won’t be many chances in the game so when we get one we are going to have to take it.
“But I’m confident we can do it.”
Goalkeeper Karen Bardsley has fractured her finger so will miss the game. National Coach Hope Powell has no other injury concerns from her original 22-player squad.
