Details: The Aviva Birmingham Grand Prix returns to the Birmingham Alexander Stadium on Sunday 26th August, giving you the opportunity to welcome back your newly-crowned Olympic heroes.

Some of the world’s best athletes will go head-to-head as the most exciting summer of athletics this country has ever seen continues in the West Midlands.

Mo Farah headlines the event where he will threaten Steve Ovett’s 34-year-old British 2 mile record, whilst an array of international stars line up on the track just two weeks after their triumphs at the Olympic Games.

World Championship silver medalist Hannah England (pictured) is urging British fans to bring an electrifying atmosphere to all the athletics events in the UK this summer as Aviva Series tickets have now been released for these must-see events.

England said, “This summer is what we’ve all been working towards and it is going to be the most exciting few months ever for athletics in this country. I know that thousands of fans unfortunately missed out on athletics tickets for the Olympics, but all is not lost!”

Jamaican sprinter Asafa Powell was one of the stars of the show last year, treating the capacity crowd to a scintillating performance in the 100m, whilst current IAAF Female Athlete of the Year Sally Pearson broke three records on her way to victory in the 100m hurdles. British fans weren’t disappointed as Mo Farah, Dai Greene and Phillips Idowu came away victorious.

So back the team and watch the world’s best athletes in action at the Aviva Birmingham Grand Prix on 26 August.
