Details: This year the National Wheelchair Dance Sport Championship will take place on Saturday 29 September 2012, with a Gala Dinner in the evening to celebrate wheelchair dance sport and wheelchair dance.
The event, being run by the Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (UK), will take place at the Watford Colosseum and will show the best the UK has to offer in the world of wheelchair dance and wheelchair dance sport as well as beginners to the sport.
Following the Paralympics, public interest in the sport is at an all-time high, and a high level of competition is expected at these championships. The event is still offering tickets for spectators to see this amazing sport and the dedication of its athletes, either to the competition, or to the gala dinner.
Sue Cummings, WDSA (UK) Chair said: “This is the biggest event ever to be staged in the UK for Wheelchair Dance Sport and credit must be given to the organising committee and the sport technical experts for all their hard work.
“The sport has really grown in recent years within the UK and it will be fantastic for the dancers to perform in front of a sell-out capacity crowd.”
Cost: Spectator tickets for Championships: £10.00; groups of 10 get 1 free ticket. Gala Dinner: £35.00, small meal £10.00.
