I often get asked by people who are either considering climbing Everest, or simply intrigued by it, what level of fitness you need to climb the mountain and how much training is enough to get you ready?
Sadly I was unable to complete my final challenge – The National Three Peaks due to our lovely British Summer.

Karrimor sponsored climber Bonita Norris successfully summated Mt Lhotse (8,401m) at the weekend, making her the youngest British woman to achieve the feat.
Just days after becoming the youngest British woman ever to summit Mount Everest, Bonita Norris has suffered a back injury following a fall during her descent. It is not known why or how Norris fell, but speaking to her family via satellite telephone she admitted that the descent is fraught with difficulties.
