Britain’s triathletes dominated in the ITU Team Triathlon World Championship, earning themselves the world title and the nick name ‘the dream team’ – despite never racing together before.
A fourth place finish in the ITU Sprint World Championships has put British athlete Helen Jenkins at the top of the world rankings table and in great position for the Grand Final.
GB athlete Helen Jenkins finished fourth at the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championships Series in Kitzbuhel on Sunday (15 August). Jenkins put in a strong performance in the swim and the cycle, starting the 10km run in a pack of five with a 1min 43second lead over the chasing pack.
Britain’s Helen Jenkins battled to third place with a strong performance at the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship in London on Saturday, having set a blistering pace that before eventually being caught by Canada’s Paula Findlay and last year’s winner, Switzerland’s Nicole Spirig.
