March’s Club Of The Month is Team East Durham which is the sports team of East Durham College. This college is doing a great job of bring sport and education together. Washlands Women Runners in Burton on Trent is Sportsister’s Club of the Month for December. This great club promotes running for women who maybe wouldn’t dare go to a traditional athletics club. Their motto is “Fun First, Fitness Follows”.

Sawtry Colts is Sportsister’s Club of the Month for October. This football club has been running since 1989, has around 300 members and this season has just introduced a dedicated Girls Football Development Centre. (more…)

In this new monthly article we feature a great club that deserves recognition for it’s commitment to supporting women and getting more women involved in sport. September’s club of the month is the Essex Roads cycling club. They have not only achieved success, by setting a new National Women’s Tandem Record, but they have also seen their membership jump by 25% over the last year and are particularly being chosen by women and youngsters due to their friendly and encouraging environment.
