Test the Best Series - try out the latest mountain bikes

If you are thinking about getting a new mountain bike then read on as Specialized and Giant have just released the details of their 2009 country wide tour to allow you to try out the latest mountain bikes.

The Test the Best Series is back for the third year running, and the two brands will be taking an extensive range of mountain bikes for both men and women to some great locations in England, Scotland and Wales.

At each venue riders can expect a hive of activity with both Giant and Specialized technical representatives making sure that your demo experience is a great one.

One of the best women’s bikes available for testing is the Specialized Safire (pictured top right, £1565.95) - it’s a super versatile XC trail bike with women’s-specific geometry, total suspension integration and delivers a combination of speed, efficiency and great handling. This is a great chance to try before you buy and make sure it’s the right choice for you.

There are five dates and venues across the country to choose from with challenging terrain and true off road mountain biking.

At all of the Test the Best venues Specialized will be offering limited places to both men and women for skills training in conjunction with the CTC (the UK’s national cyclists’ organization) and their off road training group.

40 places are available in the morning and 40 in the afternoon for men and women who are over 18 and have their own bike. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis and the course is designed to help people enjoy their ride more. Skills training should be booked over the phone on 0870 873 0061.
