Folklore may tell us that it is the Irish leprechauns that stash their pots of gold at the end of a rainbow but if these Commonwealth Games are anything to go by, Scotland has its own plentiful supply of this precious resource. When Jazz Carlin landed back in the UK from Delhi, her luggage was significantly heavier. Some people go overboard on souvenirs but the Welsh swimmer wasn’t weighed down with carvings or clothing, it was her Commonwealth silver and bronze medals that were clocking up the kilos. (more…)
