According to a poll conducted by the WSFF Dame Kelly Holmes is the nation’s top sportswoman, followed by Paula Radcliffe and Sally Gunnell. Click here for the full list: http://www.sportsister.com/?p=19532

I’d say Jessica Ennis. She is a world champion who has come back from a difficult injury that required her to change her take off foot - VERY IMPRESSIVE!! Apart from that she seems really nice in all the interviews I’ve seen )
If we are talking about this year then yes I agree Jessica Ennis is a great personality and role model. In terms of achievement I would say Beth Tweddle, also a great role model. If we are talking generally…and not just this year then gosh that is hard, but I still love Nicole Cooke’s win in Beijing and that with the fact that she has tried so hard to get her women’s team on the road makes her high up in my choices - I also love Rebecca Addlington and Ellen McArthur.
