The Great North Swim is described by the organisers as the perfect challenge for all swimming abilities. With ‘no walls, no lanes, no chlorine – just the great outdoors’.

We think it’s a great way to have fun whilst raising money for vulnerable children, so why not join the NSPCC team for this one mile event, which takes place in beautiful Lake Windermere, Cumbria on 22-24 June, and do something amazing for children.

Swimming with 10,000 others, this will certainly be a memorable day for anyone that takes part. You’ll experience the thrill of open-water swimming, safe in the knowledge that expert kayakers and safety boats are with you every stroke of the way.
