England U21 Women beat Spain at Lilleshall NSC, Shropshire on July 5th with an impressive 3-0 victory.
Three goals from penalty corners gave England Under-21 Women an emphatic 3-0 victory over Spain at the England National Age Group Squads’ matches. Head coach Andy Bradshaw was delighted to take a convincing victory over a Spanish side who had held England to a 1-1 draw in the first of their three matches the previous day.
“It was an improved performance from the day before,” he said. “We pressed better as a team and were more aggressive and took the game to the Spaniards.
“All three goals came from short corners which was pleasing as we’ve been working on that during the camp. I’m also pleased that the defence had a clean sheet. It all helps build confidence ahead of the final game on Tuesday, and going forward.”
