This last month everyone in the Sportsister office has been going cycling crazy! I was lucky enough to get the chance to go cycling in the velodrome in Manchester recently, thanks to a great day out with Hornby – one of the London 2012 official suppliers.
What a start we have already had to the month of September. Were you, like me, gripped to the athletics world championships held out in South Korea? Talk about highs, lows and all in between for the athletes.
I’d like to start this letter by thanking all of the Sportsister readers who came along to our Curve Camp in association with Triumph in London’s Hyde Park.
The start of July means a brand new issue of Sportsister is out. And I am really excited about all the great articles packed inside. As usual we cover a broad range of sports from the expected – running, cycling – to the perhaps more surprising – adventure racing, sailing.
I want to start this letter by saying a big thank you to all the women who went along to one of the recent Sportsister courses. We partnered up with Nomads Kayaking and Get Mountain Biking, to provide two fab courses just for women.

Last week I was lucky enough to attend the British ski and snowboarding championships, otherwise known as The BRITS in Laax, Switzerland.
I’m a little late writing this month’s editor’s letter, and so I find myself putting pen to paper on an important day for all Sportsister’s. No, not pancake day (although it is one of our favourite days of the year!), but today is also the 100th International Women’s Day.
