DIY Bootcamp - final dayDIY Bootcamp – final day

It’s day 7 and a saturday, which in many ways makes it harder to mentally motivate myself as there is less routine today and other family commitments. To stop myself wimping out I get out of bed and put my kit on straight away.

So, here I am nearly at the end of my 7 day DIY Bootcamp, and today was a mix of extreme self control and discovery.  My body is holding up, there are no injuries to report and I feel remarkably energetic.

Back on schedule with day five and all is good, I start the day with a gym session and leave feeling energised and ready to face the day, it feels like my body is adapting well now and to be honest it’s getting to the stage where I would like to do this regime every week!

Today’s was the first day when the plan didn’t quite work out and I had to adapt and tweek my day, but having stated bad it finished well with the best workout of the week so far – circuit training.

DIY Bootcamp - Day threeDIY Bootcamp – Day three

Day three. I wake up stiff and tired and consider my first activities of the day, a swim followed by a core stability class. The prospect of going swimming is not very appealing, I consider giving it a miss. How feeble is that? I think, day three and wimping out already – that’s just not an option.

Just putting my kit on again after a couple of inactive months made me feel more energetic! I let myself into the day gently and set off around 9.30 on my first activity of the a day – a two hour bike ride.
