IWD2017: Zwift aim to break the Most Women Riders in a Day record!

Since 2016 Zwift have made it their mission to champion women in cycling through their Zwift Academy. The ground breaking talent ID program has created the world’s largest community of female cyclists which last year attracted over 3,600 female cyclists and today they have a target to break the record for Most Women Riders in Day (current record: 2934 on Feb 7th, 2017) – get involved!

Celebrate International Women’s Day with Zwift, highlights include:

· 7 days of Zwift Women’s Week Rides, with rides lead by cycling pros from CANYON//SRAM, Colavita/Bianchi and industry ambassadors such as Rapha

· 3X Olympic Gold Medallist Kristin Armstrong will be taking part in the rides and speaking about her career – Wednesday at 15.15GMT

· Launch of a Women’s only event feature in game

· Special edition in-game women’s kit that is ridden in all Zwift Women’s Week rides

· Release of 1st Zwift Academy Video following 2017 Zwift Academy Champion Leah Thorvilson’s recent trip to Belgium for her first race as a pro with her CANYON//SRAM teammates.
