ASICS Beat The Sun ultra-run: Your chance to get involved!

ASICS Beat The Sun is a trail running event which offers amateur runners a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to team up with expert athletes in a unique relay race.
The race sees eight intercontinental teams battle it out around a multi-terrain course to become the first team to beat the sun around Mont Blanc – Europe’s highest peak – in the time between sunrise and sunset.
Eight teams will be made up of five different continents with Team Europe, Team Americas, Team Asia-Pacific and Team Africa all sending out their best runners with the aim of beating each other, and the sun. The teams have just 15 hours, 41 minutes and 35 seconds to cover the 150KM course!
Not only are ASICS finding two UK runners as part of the Europe team, they are also encouraging runners who are not taking part in the event to join the community, and train for their own personal running goal, with the aim of making June 21st the global day of running.
