January is Netball Month on Sky Sports

This week Sky Sports launched Netball Month to celebrate its biggest-ever season of netball, kicking off another brilliant year of women’s sport across Sky Sports channels. January is packed with exciting netball fixtures, all of which you can catch exclusively on Sky.
First up will be the Vitality Netball International Series between England and Australia – a three-match battle on 20, 22 and 24 January. The rivals will face off once again following last summer’s Netball World Cup in which World Champs Australia took gold and England bagged bronze. With two very different squads taking to the court there is everything to play for – can England reclaim the glory from their whitewash win in the 2013 series?
The Roses and Diamonds will play in Liverpool’s Echo Area on 20 January, before moving to London’s Copper Box Arena for the final two games. All three matches will be shown live on Sky Sports – tune in for a spectacular show of international netball and prepare to be impressed. The two London games have sold out already but there are still a few tickets available for the match in Liverpool; get yours via Sky Tickets at tickets.sky.com.
And that’s not all! On 30 January, the Vitality Netball Superleague will commence with a superhero-themed Super Saturday, an inaugural netball extravaganza in which all eight teams will play each other in four matches held at Birmingham’s Genting Arena. There has been lots of movement throughout the teams this season as well as the addition of exciting new imports from around the world.
This will be a netball must-see – there are still some tickets remaining for the event which can be purchased via Sky Tickets at tickets.sky.com. Get behind your favourite team and enjoy the first four games of the 2016 Superleague all under one roof! If you can’t be there, you can watch the entire day live on Sky Sports 2 from 1.30pm.
Super Saturday Fixtures:
Celtic Dragons vs Hertfordshire Mavericks – Saturday January 30, 2pm
Yorkshire Jets vs Loughborough Lightning – Saturday January 30, 4pm
Manchester Thunder vs Team Northumbria – Saturday January 30, 6pm
Team Bath vs Surrey Storm – Saturday January 30, 8pm
This opening round is just the start of what is expected to be another hotly contested chase for the title. There will be fourteen rounds of action played out over the twelve weeks of the season. You can catch all of the games on Monday Night Netball, returning live on Sky Sports. All teams will be aiming to reach the Grand Final on 7 May when the 2016 champions will be crowned.
Whether you’re a netball fanatic, an avid player or simply have fond memories from school – tune in to be amazed at the speed, skill and power of some of the world’s best players.
