Try something new in 2016: Ahoy Oarsome charity rowing challenge

January 1, 2016
Ahoy-1

It’s the time of year to look ahead and make some exciting plans, so how about trying something new? We love this challenge to learn rowing on the Thames, which is great to do with friends, but will also help raise funds for the Ahoy centre charity.

Ahoy-1

When? Various times throughout the year

Where? River Thames or the English Channel

This is a great adventure that not only teaches you new skills and gives you a whole new experience, but ensures you’ll be giving something back by supporting their fantastic charity work too. No experience is needed and there are three great challenges on offer:
– Row on the River Thames, 8.5 miles from Westminster to Greenwich
– Take part in the Great River Race, 23 miles on the Thames in September
– The ultimate challenge – The AHOY Channel Row – 23 miles on the English Channel
Your challenge will raise vital funds for the AHOY centre which works with disadvantaged young people and disabled people in London
