5 predictions for headline-making British sportswomen in 2015

Our friend Jo Gunston over at Sports Liberated Magazine has put together her predictions for 10 headline making sportswomen in 2015. Here are our 5 favourites, click here to read full list and check out the rest of the brilliant Sports Liberated blog while you are at it!
Katie Summerhayes
@suummerhayes
Somehow nearly made the podium at the Sochi Winter Olympics in the slopestyle event despite only a recent recovery from horrendous injuries, we predict Summerhayes will make her mark at the upcoming Freestyle World Ski Championships in Austria from Jan 14th-25th.
Penny Coomes
@PennyCoomes
Alongside figure-skating partner Nick Buckland (@n_buckland), the duo wowed at the Sochi Winter Olympics even bringing the partisan Russian crowd to a roar. A confusing technicality meant the duo finished off the podium but they’ve started the season where they left off – flying.
Eniola Aluko
@EniAlu
Chelsea and England footballer, Team GB Olympian, sports lawyer, oh and first female pundit on BBC’s Match of the Day, this year can only get better for the 27-year-old if England can do well at the Women’s World Cup throughout June.
Shauna Coxsey
@shaunacoxsey
Will this be the year that the ridiculously strong climber becomes Britain’s first ever Bouldering World Cup champion? The 21-year-old has peppered the podium steps the past few years but the top step has so far eluded her.
Dame Sarah Storey
@damesarahstorey
Not sure where this hour cycling world record business has popped up from but come the end of February it’ll be a big deal and Britain’s most decorated paralympian is giving the women’s record a go.
