Football: Scotland miss out on World Cup spot

Scotland’s 2015 World Cup dream ended after they were beaten 2-0 by the Netherlands in the play-off semi-final second leg.

The team coached by Anna Signeul had to score at least two goals in Rotterdam after they lost 2-1 at home. However goals from Lieke Martens and Manos Melis ended any chance of qualification for Scotland.

The Dutch will now face Italy in the play-off final as they aim for Canada.
