The Rio 2016 Olympic Games are on the hunt for volunteers from around the world as their recruitment programme opens for applications.

In less than two years’ time a group of 70,000 individuals will follow in the footsteps of the Games Makers from London 2012 (pictured) in playing a vital role in the running of the Olympic Games.

From sports support and ceremonies production to health services and language translation, there are dozens of ways you can play a role in Rio and experience an Olympics first-hand.
