The  third one day international between England and India was abandoned due to rain.

England however took a total of five points in the ICC Women’s Championship from the series, two points from winning each of the two previous matches and one point for the series win.

India previously won the one-off Test match at Wormsley cricket ground by six wickets.

“India showed what a strong side they are during the Test match and I am really pleased with how quickly we bounced back from that disappointment and delivered when it counted,” England captain Charlotte Edwards told the BBC.

England will next play a three-match Twenty20 series against South Africa starting on 1 September in Chelmsform.
