Cycling: Emma Pooley wins final stage of the Giro Rosa

Britain’s Emma Pooley clocked up her third stage win in the Giro Rosa by finishing 25 seconds ahead of Pauline Ferrand-Prevot in the final stage of the race.

Marianne Vos was the overall winner, taking her third victory in four years whilst Pooley, who also won stage six and eight of this year’s race won the mountains classification.

Pooley’s victory was her fourth in only two and a half weeks, having earlier won the British national time trial title at the end of June.
