Rowing: Women’s pair win gold at the European Championships

Great Britain’s Helen Glover and Polly Swann won gold in the women’s pair at the European Rowing Championships in Belgrade at the weekend.
The duo made sure they were not outdone when they finished seven seconds ahead of Romania and also posted a European-best time of 7 minutes 03.62 seconds.
Elsewhere, there were also bronze medals for Kat Copeland and Imogen Walsh in the lightweight women’s double sculls.
