Football: Shelley Kerr to quit as Arsenal manager after FA Cup final
Arsenal Ladies manager Shelley Kerr has left her job at the club with the team currently sitting bottom of the FA WSL 1 table.
She will however remain in her job for the FA Cup final against Everton next week.
Under Kerr Arsenal have suffered their worst start ever to a WSL campaign, and currently sit bottom of the WSL 1 table with just one point from four games.
“I’ve had a fantastic 16 months with Arsenal, but feel this is the right time to step aside,” said Kerr in a statement.
“I hope to bring my spell with Arsenal to a successful close on Sunday, with the defence of the FA Cup.”
The Gunners will aim to defend their FA Cup title against Everton next week as they look to end Kerr’s time at the club on a high.
