Athletics: Amy Whitehead selected for the Commonwealth Games

Marathon runner Amy Whitehead has become one of the first athletes to be selected as part of the England athletics team for the commonwealth games in Glasgow.
Whitehead will be competing at her first commonwealth games after finishing 13th in the London Marathon in a time of 2:34.20.
“I’m absolutely over the moon. It’s a dream come true,” she said.
“I’ve always wanted to make the Commonwealth Games and it’s been a personal ambition of mine to get here. I would love to do as well as I possibly can. When you put on an England vest you want to do everybody proud.”
The full England athletics team will be announced on June 9th.
