Cricket: The MCC Women v Rest of the World Women Lord’s Bicentenary match

So who fancies watching some world class women’s cricket? The MCC Women (Marylebone Cricket Club) v Rest of the World Women Lord’s Bicentenary match takes place on Monday 19 May and its a fixture not to be missed!

Fifty overs will be played and it’s the first time an MCC Women’s XI has played a Rest of the World Women’s XI, including some of the biggest names in the world of female cricket.

England captain Charlotte Edwards along with fellow Ashes winners Sarah Taylor and Danielle Hazel are among the stars named in the match, as well as Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry and West Indies duo Stafanie Taylor and Deandra Dottin.

“Lord’s is such a special place to play cricket and I can’t wait to help MCC celebrate the current Ground’s bicentenary by taking part in this game,” said Edwards. “Some of the best female cricketers in the world are going to be on show and it’s the perfect opportunity to show the cricketing world the quality within the women’s game.”
