Parkour training event announced for #Internationalwomensday
The sporting community is certainly getting behind International Women’s Day this year with a huge range of events taking place all over the country. If you fancy trying something a little different, take a look at this two day Parkour event taking place in Glasgow on Friday 8th and 9th March.
There couldn’t be a more liberating and modern discipline than Parkour, it requires strength, flexibility, creativity and courage - perfect for celebrating International Women’s Day.
This two day training event is designed to bring together women from across Scotland and internationally and encourage female participation in Parkour*.
The event will feature high profile female coaches, an all-female coaching team and is suitable for women and girls of all ages, abilities and experience, especially those new to parkour.
Women have a lower participation rate in most sports and according to the WSFF (Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation) over 80% of women don’t do enough exercise to say healthy. The aim of this event is to dispel the myths surrounding parkour and encourage more women to take it up and get active!
