Football: New England coach has lifted squad says Duggan

Striker Toni Duggan believes that new England head coach Mark Sampson has definitely lifted the squad since replacing Hope Powell in December of last year.
“There’s been a boost in the players’ mentality,” said the Manchester City player. “Mark has brought in a lot of new faces and that brings better competition for places and brings us on as players.”
England open their Cyprus Cup campaign against Italy today, and they face stern competition having to also play Finland and Canada; the team they beat in last year’s final but who are four places above them in the Fifa’s rankings.
England are set to return to their 2015 World Cup qualification campaign next month in April against Montenegro with a further five games remaining.
