Figure skating: Coomes and Buckland win bronze at European Championships

British ice dancing pair Nick Buckland and Penny Coomes won the bronze medal at the European Figure Skating Championships in Budpest with a career-best 158.69.

Elsewhere, Jenna McCorkell, Britain’s entrant in this year’s Olympic women’s event, scored 39.59 to finish 24th in her short programme on Wednesday - just enough to qualify for today’s free skate.
