Figure skating: Jenna McCorkill progresses at European Championships

Eleven-time British champion Jenna McCorkell got Britain up and running at the European Figure Skating Championships as she progressed to the ladies’ free skate.

McCorkell, who will make her second Olympic Winter Games appearance in Sochi next month, scored 39.59 for her short program which meant she finished 24th out of 24 to progress to Friday.
