Cycletta join forces with Macmillan Cancer Support

Cycletta, the UK’s leading women-only cycle series, has welcomed Macmillan Cancer Support as title partner of the series which will now be known as Macmillan Cycletta.
The series returns in 2014 following its most successful year ever in 2013 as almost 4000 women were encouraged to get on their bikes.
“It has been such a pleasure to be involved with Macmillan Cycletta so far,” said Olympic champion and ambassador Victoria Pendleton.
“I’m proud to have been a part of it since the very beginning and am delighted to see more and more women continue to take up cycling.”
So what will Macmillan Cycletta 2014 involve?
Macmillan Cycletta caters for cyclists of all ages and abilities, and will feature Novice, Classic, Challenge distances as well as the new Macmillan Cycletta 100km distance, all throughout beautiful surroundings on quiet, safe and well-managed roads.
The Novice distance will be a manageable 20km route which is perfect for beginners and is a similar challenge to running 5km. The Classic route which is 40km is perfect for anyone with a little more confidence on their bike. And the Challenge distance is aimed at somewhat more experienced riders, who are seeking a slightly sterner test or for those in training for longer sportives, as the distance ranges from 60-70km.
But new this year, there is a ride even longer to challenge you! Available at the New Forest and Scotland events, the 100km distance has been created due to popular demand from the Macmillan Cycletta riders for an even longer women only event.
