Amber Hill wins Young Sports Personality of the Year

Shooter Amber Hill last night won the BBC’s Young Sports Personality of the Year award beating athlete Dina Asher-Smith and golfer Charley Hull.
This year the 16 year old from Berkshire became the youngest winner of a senior World Cup in skeet shooting, and finished the season ranked number one senior in Great Britain and number five in the world.
“This year has honestly been incredible, and I can’t believe I’ve won out of so many amazing athletes who were nominated,” said Hill.
