Sportsister Loves: The Mix It Up Scarf

When it comes to my winter running, Moving Comfort’s Mix It Up Scarf, or snood as I like to call it, has quite honestly been my saving grace over the past few weeks.
I really don’t like being cold, so from the beginning of November I’m always in search for the most effective and comfortable gear to keep me warm; and this snood is an absolute winner.
So why do I love it?
First of all, the shape of a snood is ideal for running or any workout activity as you aren’t having to deal with flapping ends of a regular scarf. And this one is particularly great as its length enables me to either let it hang loosely around my neck, or double it up creating a tighter fit and extra warmth.
The fabric is very light which means I’m not carrying too much extra weight and is created with a technology called DriLayer Fresh which is designed specifically for moisture management. This not only works well to wick away any sweat, but also prevents any unwanted odours from arising!
As well as this, the feel of the scarf is incredibly soft so I haven’t experienced any chaffing on my neck; Moving Comfort actually describe it as “butter-soft” and I couldn’t put it better myself.
Oh and I love the purple colour too - very stylish and I’ve definitely worn it once or twice away from my workout sessions (pictured below with trainer Nicki Waterman).
The downside
If I had to say one negative thing it would be the price. At £30 it is rather expensive, especially when I compare it to other sporty snoods on the market, but then quite often, there isn’t the versatility, quality and technology included with the cheaper options.

If you’re thinking about buying a snood for yourself I’d recommend you think about when you’re most likely to wear it. If it’s just for throwing on pre and post workout and you don’t need the higher quality technology, maybe a slightly less pricey one is for you?
