Athletics: Eilidh Child to captain Scotland at British Athletics International Match

World 4x400m relay bronze medallist Eilidh Child is to captain the first ever Scottish team at the Glasgow British Athletics International Match on Saturday 25 January 2014.
Child will lead the team in the first major international event in Glasgow in 2014, as the city gears up for the Commonwealth Games.
“I’m really honoured to be named captain and it’ll be an immensely proud occasion for me to lead the Scottish team out at the Glasgow British Athletics International Match,” she said.
“There is some really good talent coming through, so it is great for everyone to have the opportunity to compete at the Emirates Arena before the Commonwealth Games.
“It will also give fans the chance to come out and watch some of the athletes they might not have heard of before the summer.”
Tickets for the Glasgow British Athletics International Match are on sale at britishathletics.org.uk.
