Sportsister Awards nominees: Best Sports Performance

Here are the nominations for the 2013 Sportsister Awards Sports Performance of the Year. Which one gets your vote?
England Hockey: European Championships
England Hockey beat the Netherlands to reach their first European final in 22 years. The historic win came right down to the wire with the squad winning 3-2 in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out. The squad just lost out to Germany in the final, but they more than held their own after drawing 4-4 but ultimately losing out on the gold in a penalty shoot-out. Click here to vote.
Team Europe: The Solheim Cup
Team Europe have had an outstanding year winning The Solheim Cup in the United States for the first time, securing an 18-10 victory over America in Colorado. And as well as a first win on foreign soil, it was also the first time Europe have retained the trophy since the competition was first played in 1990. Click here to vote.
Women’s Relay: Anniversary Games
The British quartet was on top form this summer when they achieved an astounding win in the 4x100m relay at London’s Anniversary Games. Not only did their performance secure the team a gold medal, but their time of 42.69 seconds was the fastest time for a British quartet in 12 years. This was no mean feat given that Britain’s female sprinters failed to be ranked inside the top 16 teams in the world last year and so missed a place at London 2012. Click here to vote.
