Rugby: England win opening Autumn International match

England Women kicked off their autumn campaign in perfect fashion last night with a 40-20 win against France at Twickenham.
Tries came from skipper Katy Mclean, Maggie Alphonsi, Claire Allan, Ruth Laybourn and two from Kay Wilson, securing a victory that will have gone a long way to eradicate memories of France’s 30-20 win against England during the Six Nations earlier this year.
Gary Street’s side will now be looking ahead to their match against Canada on Wednesday evening at Stoop, kick off 7pm.
