Weightlifting: Brits learn from World Championship experience
British weightlifters Natasha Perdue and Emily Godley will both be better for their experience at the World Championships in Poland according to performance director Tommy Yule.

Perdue (pictured) was the highest-placed of the two in action in Wroclaw, recording five good lifts from six attempts in the 69kg class and finishing with a total of 204kg for 18th.
Godley snatched 82kg and lifted 104kg in the clean and jerk for 186kg and 19th at the 63kg weight.
“It was a great experience for the lifters to be at a World Championships,” said Yule. “To perform on the big stage really helps athletes focus on how to bring the best out of themselves. For us, this was a big part of our plans for the Commonwealth Games next year and the Rio Olympics.
“It’s important for our lifters to experience the tough conditions of a World Championship and for us all to learn what can be done differently going forward to drive progress so that every year performances improve.”
