Athletics: Eilidh Child named Scotland’s Athlete of the Year

World Championships relay medallist Eilidh Child has been named Scotland’s Athlete of the Year, beating Eilish McColgan, Laura Muir, Libby Clegg, Susan Partridge and Chris O’Hare.
The 26 year old won bronze in the 4x400m in Moscow, following her fifth place in the 400m hurdles, and was part of the winning 4x400m relay team at the European Athletics Indoor Championships, having finished runner-up in the individual event.
Child also won the 400m hurdles at the European Team Championships in Gateshead this year.
