Skeleton: Lizzy Yarnold maintains her lead at World Cup selection
Lizzy Yarnold has maintained her lead after the last two of the four runs at the British Skeleton’s women’s World Cup selection races in Altenberg this week.
Yarnold ended the four runs on the German track with a total time of 4:04.06 minutes, giving her a 2.82 second cushion over Donna Creighton with Laura Deas 3.50 adrift in total, while Rose McGrandle was disqualified at the halfway stage.
Britain will field three men and three women on the World Cup circuit this season with reigning world champion Shelley Rudman having already earned pre-selection.
