Cricket: ECB to stream #Women’sAshes match live online
The ECB will stream the Women’s Ashes NatWest ODI fixture at Lord’s on Tuesday 20 August live on its website and official YouTube channel, which will be the first time that the governing body has streamed a non-televised fixture live on its digital platforms.
Commentary will be provided by former England players turned broadcasters Isa Guha and Mark Butcher, alongside broadcaster and journalist Alison Mitchell.
The Women’s Ashes Series will comprise of one Test match, three NatWest Women’s One-Day Internationals, and three NatWest Women’s International Twenty20 matches. Points will be allocated to each format – the winners of the Test will be awarded six points; two points to the winners of each limited overs matches. The team that accrues the most points across all formats will win the Women’s Ashes Series and be presented with the Women’s Ashes trophy.
The three NatWest Women’s International T20 matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports with the latter two being played directly before the men’s fixtures, and all seven fixtures will be covered live on BBC Radio. The ECB’s website will provide live score updates and video highlights of every day’s play.
The match begins at 10:45 BST on Tuesday 20 August, with coverage beginning at 10:30 BST - live on www.ecbtv.co.uk and www.youtube.com/ecbcricket
