Tennis: Johanna Konta wins Vancouver Open

British number three Johanna Konta won the Vancouver Open women’s title at the weekend by beating third seed Sharon Fichman of Canada 6-2 6-4.

The victory was the 22 year old’s second title in a week on the second-tier Pro Circuit after her triumph in Winnipeg, and she will now move up to a career-high ranking of 115.
