Rugby: England name squad for three-Test series

England Women’s Head Coach Gary Street has named an experienced starting line-up for the first of three Tests against world champions New Zealand, this Saturday at Eden Park in Auckland.
“We are going into Saturday’s first Test with a strong 23 who have a huge challenge to face,” said Street.
“There is a lot of experience in this squad and I am really happy with the 26 players we have brought to New Zealand as I know all of them will play an integral part in this Test series.”
Despite having won the series for the past two years, Captain Sarah Hunter has warned that her team can not underestimate the current World Champions. “We are definitely not going into this series with any complacency,” she said.
“We have belief in ourselves, but we have upmost respect for New Zealand and the threat that they pose. They are a very talented team full of skilful players so we cannot underestimate them.”
The opening Test match will be shown live on Sky Sports 1 at 6.05am. The two sides meet again on July 16 at Waikato Stadium and then for the final clash on July 20 at the ECOlight Stadium.
